Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course in Tri-State Area
Training in First Aid, CPR, and AED
Tri-State’s pediatric advanced life support course in New York City incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for children and infants in various first aid emergencies. These include burns, cuts, scrapes, and sudden illnesses; head, neck, and back injuries; heat and cold emergencies; and breathing and cardiac emergencies. Students are taught how to respond during critical situations to help pediatric victims (infants and children up to 12 years old).
The PALS course is intended for anyone involved in childcare who has a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The audience includes but is not limited to childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches. It's also ideal for moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, babysitters, nannies, guardians, or anyone caring for children. In this program, students will learn some of the following:

- Pediatric First Aid for Basic Illnesses and Injuries (Not Limited to These Topics):
- Bleeding and Bandaging
- Allergic Reactions
- Epinephrine Pen Usage
- Drowning
- Bites and Stings
- Burns
- Choking Child
- Preventative Measures for a Child's Safety
- Problem Finding
Students who complete this course will receive a certificate for Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for two years.
